🌿 Beltane is a time of awakening—a moment to honour the beauty of nature, our inner growth, and the abundance of life. This special event invites you to move through ancient earth-based rituals, immersing yourself in the magic of the land, the flowers, and the transformative power of sound and fire. Honour this Beltane with ceremony, journeying, and time for celebration with Shamanic Practitioners Ali Rabjohns and Joanna McEwen. Together, we offer a beautiful afternoon of healing sounds, a flower blessing, and a shamanic journey to connect deeply with the upper world.

💫 Walking the Labyrinth – Step into a moving meditation, following the winding path to your heart’s centre, releasing what no longer serves, and calling in your highest intentions.
🌸 Flower Blessing Ceremony – A sacred workshop led by Shamanic Practitioner Ali Rabjohns. Journey to the Upper World (Hanaq Pacha) to infuse water with the highest energies, then receive or offer a deeply intuitive flower blessing—a gentle ritual of healing, presence, and inner beauty.
🎶 Sound Bath & Integration with Joanna McEwen – Let the vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, and drumming wash over you, clearing stagnant energy and inviting deep peace.

🌸 Flowers hold the wisdom of trust, beauty, and presence. In this nourishing ritual, you will:
✨ Work independently or in pairs to create a heartfelt blessing.
✨ Journey shamanically to the Upper World to connect with divine energies.
✨ Infuse your homemade Florida water with your breath and intention.
✨ Offer or receive a flower medicine ritual, placing flowers gently on the body.
Inspired by Andean despacho ceremonies, angel-washing rituals, and the healing power of flowers, this practice awakens clarity, connection, and deep peace.
Come with an open heart and leave with a sense of renewal, alignment, and inner harmony.
We understand the importance of ceremony as a powerful act of self and planetary care. Ceremony brings people and communities together, provides spiritual nourishment, deepens our connection to the earth and the wheel of the year as it turns, and empowers us to move with more joy and grace through the changing seasons of our lives.
In the peaceful and harmonious surroundings of the Hampe Nawasi Healing Lodge, set within the South Downs National Park, we will take time out to embrace the season’s stillness. This is a time to deeply honour ourselves and the land as we send our love and gratitude to Mother Earth. By the end of this experience, you will have had plenty of time to welcome the lighter days ahead and explore and deeply reflect upon the themes of nourishment and light in your own life. Ali is an experienced practitioner of Andean energy medicine, a teacher, and a Textile Artist. Ali teaches and leads retreats, working with medicine men and women in Peru, and participating in Amazonian medicine plant ceremonies and Inca ceremonies in the High Andes. Joanna McEwen is a qualified and experienced Sound Practitioner who has worked with music medicine for over 10 years. Through the use of therapeutic sound, Andean Energy Medicine, Kundalini Yoga, breathwork, dance, ritual, and silence, Joanna weaves together a moment in time for you to come home to yourself, A qualified youth worker and Special Educational Needs practitioner of over 20 years, she supports individuals and communities to connect to their deepest selves and each other, the world around us, and the abundant and loving universe. Car Directions from Brighton A27:
Take A27 to Lewes
Pass Falmer; keep going for at least 10 minutes.
Arrive at another large roundabout with traffic lights – there is a turning for Lewes on the left and the third exit is for Kingston – take that one
Travel all the way straight through Kingston (many speed bumps, pubs, primary school, etc.) until you get to a T – junction at the end with a garden centre straight in front of you.
Take a right turn along C7 to Rodmell & Newhaven
Drive about 3 miles and you will see Rodmell signposted – a pub called Abergavenny Arms on the Left.
Take the left turn down the street and follow the road down to the end of the village past Monk‘s House and the school/church.
Where it starts to turn into a dirt track at the end – the tarmac road bears left – we are the second bungalow (Barn Croft) on the right on that bit of road after Briar Cottage. We are directly after a white wooden garage. If you go past a large property with iron gates – that’s our neighbour, and you’ve gone too far.
We have 9 solar panels on our roof and space for two cars to park.
Coming from Monk’s House Carpark – cross over the road past Navigation Cottages on your left. Navigation Cottages have a white wooden gate up some steps. Continue along this road, Briar Cottage will be on your right, then a white double wooden garage, and then we are directly after this, set back from the road with solar panels and a fruit cage.

For this powerful Full Moon in Scorpio, we will be making offerings together for the fire. Please bring your prayers and dreams; all materials will be provided.
I’m offering the teachings of Jamie Sams about the 13 Original Clan Mothers each month. Each story is a beautiful way to tune into the different aspects of ourselves as we journey along the sacred path. This helps us to discover our gifts, talents, and abilities of the feminine through the ancient teachings of sisterhood. The circle is open to everyone!

Children over 7 years old are welcome!
Bring a warm blanket.
Possible offerings for the fire: rosemary sprigs, cinnamon sticks, dried lavender, dried flowers, tobacco, cacao, sage, small wax candles, or palo santo.
Please bring a song or a poem to share after the fire, as well as warm clothing and snacks. If you need to sit down, then it’s best to bring a blanket or a camping chair for a front-row seat! Please wear suitable footwear for muddy conditions.
Bring shakers and small hand drums or rattles if you have them.
Cost: Suggested donation of £ 15 to cover materials; if this is too much, then just donate what you can.
