🌕 Full Moon Fire Ceremony & Prayer Circle

Honouring the Twelfth Clan Mother – Gives Praise

We gather under the Full Moon to honour Gives Praise Woman, the Clan Mother of the Twelfth Moon Cycle, through a fire ceremony and prayer circle. Together, we will make offerings to the fire, bringing our prayers and dreams into form. All materials will be provided.

Each month, I share teachings from Jamie Sams’ 13 Original Clan Mothers. These stories invite us deeper into the sacred archetypes, helping us rediscover our gifts and creative powers through sisterhood and mythic wisdom. This circle is open to everyone ( Not just women)

🌕 Full Moon Fire: Gives Praise Woman

As the final full moon of the 13-moon cycle, we gather around the sacred fire to honour Gives Praise Woman, the Twelfth Clan Mother from The 13 Original Clan Mothers by Jamie Sams.

She is the Guardian of Celebration, the Keeper of Abundance, and the Mother of Giving and Receiving. Under her guidance, we are reminded that gratitude is a living prayer — a way of seeing and being that brings beauty, balance, and renewal to all aspects of life.

Through fire ceremony and shared prayer, we will give thanks for the turning of the year — releasing what is complete and opening our hearts to the blessings still unfolding. Together, we celebrate the magic of reciprocity, where every song of gratitude calls new life into being.

✨ The Teachings of Gives Praise Woman

  • Guardian of Celebration and Thankfulness — showing us that joy is sacred and gratitude transforms sorrow into wisdom.
  • Keeper of Abundance — teaching that what we bless multiplies, and what we honour grows.
  • Mother of Giving and Receiving — guiding us toward balance between generosity and openness.
  • Steward of Ceremony and Right Relationship — reminding us to live in reciprocity with all beings and the natural world.

🌿 Poem: Gives Praise Woman

(from The 13 Original Clan Mothers by Jamie Sams)

Thank you, Mother, for teaching me
to lift my heart in praise,
filling my spirit with gladness
for the blessings of a beauty way.

You have taught me how to sing,
how to rejoice, dance, and drum,
and how to show my gratitude
for the abundance that will come.

You have shown me the magic
of a change in the mind and heart,
an attitude made of the wisdom
that celebration of life imparts.

I sing the truth of thankfulness
when I greet Grandfather’s sun,
then send my love to Mother Earth
for the life force that makes us one.
